The Modular Aluminum Habitat Hook is the newest model for the Habitat Hook line. This model has been thru several design iterations, trialing, and abuse to make sure it will withstand heavy use. It has all the same features of the original Aluminum Habitat Hook BUT it now has the ability to accept two new attachments as well as the original Aluminum Habitat Hook style head.
The new SAW attachment IS NOT sold with a blade (due to liability reasons) but allows attachment of the Silky Saw brand blade called the Hayate with minor modification to the blade (instructions included). The Silky Long Boy model blade will also fit. The saw attachment ALSO has a small SPUR hook to aid with clearing cut branches which further adds to it's versatility.
The new SPUR attachment is a smaller, specially designed hook that works on both small and large trees. It is 1 pound lighter than the original Aluminum hook! The point on the hook is designed to bite in on larger trees without having to reach around the diameter to hold. For the size and weight of this, it is phenomenal.
